The Octagon Baptist Church stood on the site through the 1800s. It was converted in 1910, into a ‘picturedrome’, latterly the Regal Cinema.
The site was cleared in the 1960s to make way for a modernist 6 storey building which housed a tax office until 2009.
Dubbed one of the country’s ugliest buildings in 2007, by the RIBA, MBTL bought the half-empty building in 2012, and immediately drew up an improvement plan. We have since invested over £250k in external and internal refurbishments. Future phases of the refurbishment programme will see both the exterior and interior of the building transformed further.
Flexible town centre space
Located in the centre of town, just around the corner from the glorious Morrab Gardens, and with inspiring far reaching 360° views over Mount’s Bay, PZ360 is the largest private sector commercial building in Penzance.
The six-storey building includes 17,000 sq ft of self-contained offices from 315 to 6,600 sq ft to meet your business needs.
The Workbox provides a unique service to homeworkers and micro businesses: a place to work from, network in, hold meetings and events, give presentations. Great facilities from state of the art video-conferencing to brilliant coffee are available to members, who pay to use anything from a desk space a few hours a month to a dedicated lockable office.
The Workbox has 40 members using the office for a variety of business ventures from deep water scanning, football trials, graphic design, magazine editing, online legal advice and architecture.
