Lunchtime soup service launched from Pz360

By foot, on two and four vehicles members of a Penzance organisation that promotes healthy sustainable living have been out once again offering Flask Group Fridays.

Two days ago, Whole Communities Again (WCA), who are also ambassadors for the Jamie Oliver Food Foundation, were out and about in Penzance providing a weekly lunchtime service that provides hot, healthy tasty soups to businesses and organisations.

Liz Sullivan said: “We celebrate the importance of cooking good food from scratch and how it can have an incredible impact on health and happiness and our Flask Soup Friday service is our way to spread the good word and get people one or two of their five-a-day.

“We are based at the Treneere estate, recently recognised as an area of high poverty and we work with and support people who just need the opportunity to demonstrate their skills, experience, potential and commitment.”

For more information, or to get involved, contact Liz Sullivan on 07557 807015.

Alternatively if you would like to make a donation to the project, every penny will go towards making soup for those most at need.
