Local volunteer-run community radio station, Penwith Radio has found the right signal at PZ360 for its new transmitter link – 23 metres up on the roof of the building following their recent move from Wharfside Shopping Centre to Parade Street in Penzance.
Broadcasting 24/7 on 96.5 FM our roof apparently provides the ideal spot and ‘line of sight’ for relaying signals from their new studio to their transmitter at St Clare.
MBT Ltd with support from DCH Group have enabled the station to stay on air and ensure the move to their new home went smoothly. Penwith Radio technical director, Nick Dent said: “We are grateful for the support we have been given to making our move a success as it is always a challenge getting a line of sight transmitter link in a hillside town like Penzance. With so few tall buildings in the town it was fortunate that PZ360 was on the doorstep”.
